There are three ways to get updates for your Xbox 360 console:

Getting the update free on Xbox LIVE is the best option because your console will be automatically updated as new system software is released.
To update your Xbox 360 console on Xbox LIVE, you must have an Xbox LIVE account with either a Gold or Silver membership, and a broadband Ethernet connection.

BUG FIXES
Addressed an issue causing people to receive an "Internal Battle.net Error" message with their game client.
Muting your microphone will no longer cause your microphone to be turned off in the operating system once the program has exited.
Please note that the voice chat functionality has only partially been implemented. There are many known issues with voice chat that we expect to address in a future patch.
The "Medium" graphical settings were reconfigured to work better on appropriate machines. The video settings "auto-detect" functionality has been reset as a result.
Added a frame rate limiter to the game menus to prevent some graphics cards from running at higher frame rates than necessary.

Following Diablo 3 updates from the PAX (Penny Arcade Expo)
Health orbs after kills. In one of the most interesting changes to the series, the roles of potions will be changed. They will no longer be as abundant as they previously were. Instead, gamers will collect health from fallen foes to replenish health. This will allow for more action as injured players will have to face off and defeat enemies to gather needed health.
Potions. While there will be potions in the game as mentioned, they will be rarer and of a more special nature. The goal is for players to have less resource management in combat as having to click away from enemies and arrange and click toolbars in combat is to be avoided as much as possible.

1. Quake Live – Quake Live is one of the newest players on the scene and the most popular. Building on a huge fan base for the Quake title, it was not hard to see why Quake Live reached over 290,000 registrations and had massive wait lines just hours after the start of their open beta. Quake Live is free to play and ad supported.

2. Halo Reach Multiplayer – Halo is one of the most beloved franchises of all time. The Halo 3 first person shooter was developed by Bungie for the Xbox 360 as part of the popular Halo series. It launched in 2007 with over 1 million Xbox Live players in the first day. To date Halo 3 has sold over 10 million copies. It was the best selling video game of 2007 in the United States. Up to 16 players can compete online. Halo Reach is the latest in online multiplayer gameplay with many new features and modes.
3. Operation 7 – The Operation 7 FPS is in Open Beta and is playable for free from Netgame. It is intended for those over 18 because this first person shooter game is more violent. Age verification is required. The best feature about the Operation 7 MMOFPS is the weapons building system which allows you many options to create and modify weapons.
4. Combat Arms – is a multiplayer first person shooter from Doobic Studios and Nexon. It is free to play and sports over 3 million registered players and over 150 different weapons. Combat Arms released on July 11, 2009. Game modes include one man army, elimination, a co-op, Fireteam, Quarantine, and more.
5. Global Agenda – Global Agenda is a massively multiplayer online role playing game from Hi-Rez Studios that uses Unreal Engine 3. It was released on February 1, 2010 as a single player and MMOFPS game. It is a science-fiction shooter. A subscription for the Global Agenda: Conquest is required for multiplayer gameplay.
6. Killzone 2 – Exclusively for the PS3 by Guerrilla Games and Sony Computer Entertainment, this is the third installment. It was released in February of 2009. The multiplayer aspect of Killzone 2 is called Warzone and allows for 7 classes. The game types include Search and Destroy, Bodycount, Capture and Hold, Assassination, and Search & Retrieve. The online gameplay allows for up to 32 players.
7. Counter-Strike Online – Counter-Strike Online is only available in Korea. The Counter-Strike title has been very popular with many versions: Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike: Anthology. Counter Strike Online has a 5 different game modes: Normal, Zombie Mode, Zombie Mode 2, Death Match, and Team Death Match.
8. CrossFire FPS – The CrossFire Game launched on April 17, 2009. This free to play MMOFPS is a lot of fun and offers some great gameplay.
9. Fallen Earth – Fallen Earth is currently in beta. It includes a crafting and player customization section. Over five thousand missions in seventy towns are playable in the Fallen Earth MMOFPS game. It is set in the Grand Canyon in the year 2154.
10. Earth Rise – EarthRise is developed by Masthead Studios. It has been slow in development with a delayed beta. With an impressive list of features, EarthRise is reaching for the stars including customizable hovercraft, robot pets, offline advancement, many factions, and more.
11. Gears of War 2 – Gears of War 2 was developed by Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios. It uses the Unreal Engine 3 and is exclusively on the Xbox 360. Gears of War 2 is really more of a 3rd person shooter but it owns Xbox Live setting records with over 1.5 million people logging into Xbox Live. Multiplayer modes include Annex, King of the Hill, Warzone, Execution, Guardian, Wingman, and Submission. A co-op mode Horde allows five players to fight together or alone. Downloadable content keeps the players coming back.
12. Bioshock 2 – BioShock 2 is a first-person shooter game developed by 2k Games an 2K Marin. It will be released in 2009 for the PC, Playstation 3, and Microsoft Xbox 360. Bioshock 2 will features some awesome weapons and a sea level where you can dive underwater to the city of Rapture. Multiplayer is available but not co-operative play. This game pits Bigdaddys against Bigsisters.
13. Team Fortress 2 – Team Fortress 2 is a first-person shooter from Valve Corporation. It is available for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. The online version uses the Steam system. The game developed almost a cult following.

This title is supposed to be the rebirth of the Castlevania series, again. Judging from the trailer it just might have the balls to bring this series back to life. From what we’ve seen so far it looks like the re-skinned God of War but hell who doesn’t love God of War. This is a good step forward for the Castlevania series and a must have for any gamer in 2010.
The sequel to the Nintendo 64 game Sin and Punishment brings this highly anticipated title out of Japan and into the hands of greasy Nintendo fan boys at last. This 3rd person shooter is sure to pack a must needed punch for the Nintendo wii.
This science fiction third person shooter was a huge hit for Capcom last time around and Capcom isn’t trying to rock the boat, after all if it ain’t broke don’t F IT UP! The game will be taking place in the same planet as the first Lost Planet just ten years later. The setting may be the same but the characters are not. With the ability to fully customize your hero the possibilities sound endless.
If you play WOW you have been drooling over this expansion pack for months now. With 2 new races (Worgen and Goblin) and new areas to play its hard not to… Chances are if you play WOW this would be number one on your list, but if you don’t play WOW…. RUN! Run for your f’ing life! WOW is a endless void you can never escape, your life, your marriage OVER! But at least you’ll enjoy it.
It’s Mario, there isn’t much else I can say, you are probably going to save the princess and make funny sounds when you jump, but you’re going to have a damn good time doing it. Plus this time around you get Yoshi and who doesn’t love Yoshi!
Our old friend Shepard is back and this time he is fighting a new mysterious enemy on the edge of space… WAIT! Didn’t he do that last time too? Awh who gives a shit, that game rocked and I’d I bet they could sell you the exact same game as last time and you’d still praise them for it.
Diablo always holds a special place in our hearts. The simple but affective hack and slash style that only Blizzard can deliver is rumored to be released some time in 2010. This time there are three classes Witch Doctor, Wizard and Barbarian, each with its own set of abilities, strengths and weaknesses. With a game this good it is safe to assume you will lose your job and friends until you’ve finished ever minute of this game.
Take one of the most beloved action games of all time and combine it with the brilliant minds over at team ninja and what do you get, (besides a sticky pair of underwear) Metroid: Other M. If this game uses what is good with Metroid and combines it with what is good in Ninja Gaiden, it might just be the best Metroid ever and that’s something to brag about.
God of War III takes place right where God of War II ended, with Kratos on Gaia’s back. But to be honest we could care less if Kratos was on the back of B. Arthur fighting her to the death, it’s just so much damn fun fighting as Kratos, hacking slashing and ripping everything to shreds. If you own a PS3 this will game will be the exactly what you needed, something to shove in your xbox 360 friends face.
The original Star Craft is arguably one of the best games of all time, so it is not surprising real time strategy fans flipped shit when Star Craft II was announced. Blizzard has upped the graphics and increased the units but still left the giant all out battles in tact. To often developers try to reinvent video games but why reinvent perfection? If Blizzard doesn’t push this project back 3 more years it is probably a shoe in for game of the year.
